Speedy deletion nomination of Conjure Cognac
[edit]A tag has been placed on Conjure Cognac, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. How does X work?
[edit]{{helpme}} HI, I am trying to write an entry for Conjure Cognac and it keeps getting deleted. The last article I put up was on Nov. 3rd. I cannot locate the copy that was put up. I saw that there was some copywrite issues so I wanted to correct that copy that was put up so there is no longer an issue. Is there a way to retrieve it? THank you! --Park Street Advisors (talk) 18:47, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Leah
helpme on Talk:Conjure Cognac
[edit]Hey there. Notedgrant moved the helpme-template from Talk:Conjure Cognac to this page and I removed the one from article talk. Helpme-templates should be placed on user talk-pages. Ilyushka88 talk 19:02, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
- Ah I see that he already noted you about that... Ilyushka88 talk 19:03, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)The article got deleted for copyright violation and advertising. We cannot accept material which is copyrighted to others. I find it highly unlikely that any admin would retrieve it for you, because of the copyright problems. My advise would be to create the article in your user space at User:Park Street Advisors/Conjure Cognac - and do not use any text or images which are copyrighted - even in user space, such a copyright violation will be speedily deleted.We also cannot accept articles whose sole purpose seems to be to promote and organisation. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 19:04, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
How does X work?
[edit]{{helpme}} Thank you for your response. Would I be able to create a new Conjure Cognac page now knowing the guidelines? Thanks. --Park Street Advisors (talk) 20:53, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Leah
- Your username has been blocked, as you were already notified. You can request a change of user name by following the instructions at Wikipedia:Changing_username. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:03, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please see below. m.o.p 21:03, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Assuming that you request a valid user name change and get unblocked:
- You can create a new article in your user space. Here is how to do it - go to the article wizard. When you get to the final stage ("6. End") choose the "Create new userspace draft" option. This will put the draft article in user space rather than the encyclopedia itself. This allows you to work on it - but if there is any copyrighted material on the page, it can still be deleted! If you have any problems when you get unblocked and try to create an article, contact me - or leave another

Your user name
[edit]Your user name appears to be that of a company or arganisation, which would be against Wikipedia's User name policy, specifically "Explicit use of a name or url of a company, group or product as a username is not permitted". I believe this based on this website: parkstreetadvisors.com.
